I think you can extend the concept that our ideas mostly come from copying other people with the evolution analogy.
Ideas have descent with modification. We mimic, and recombine our culture’s ideas. In the process the mutations (mistakes) can lead to something totally new.
I see what you mean but I don't think there's actually objective good writing if we reallllllllly think about it. It's about what your goal is, and that goal is often blurry.
Ideas are not out there, you make them up as you proceed (not just with writing but with everything you do)
You can make a decent piece of writing and stop your development
